Overview

CU/XLPE/SWA/PVC Cable  

N2XRY (CU/XLPE/SWA/PVC)Armoured Power Cables are the toughest and most durable armoured cable for power distribution and transmission. Made with a layer of steel wire armoured (SWA), polyethylene (XLPE) thermosetting insulation, and hard-wearing PVC, these armoured cables can withstand twisting, crushing, impacts, temperature extremes, moisture, chemical hazards, and more.  N2XRY is a PVC insulated and sheathed cable. The N2XRH cable uses Low Smoke Zero Halogen compounds (also known as HFFR - halogen free flame retardant),delivering a voltage rating of 0.6/1kV (600V/1000V) and a maximum temperature rating of 90℃, are form part of our range of steel wire armoured low voltage power cables for power transmission & distribution. They are used frequently in building and construction across all industries.

The addition of SWA armouring allows for these cables to be direct buried in the ground without additional protection, protecting them from mechanical stresses and the risk of damage from external forces.  LSZH cable provides additional protection in the event of a fire, emitting none of the harmful halogen gases such as chlorine gas and emits reduced levels of the dense black smoke compare to PVC sheathed cables. As a result, the N2XRH cable is widely used in public buildings, tall constructions, as well as in refineries, automation plants and data centres.

Description: N2XRY, XLPE Insulated Copper Power Cable   

Conductors: Class 1 or Class 2 of plain copper,or of Class 5 of plain copper in accordance with IEC 60228.

Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene XLPE

Insulation Colour: Natural or as required

Filler: Non-hygroscopic Material

Inner Sheath: Polyvinyl Chloride PVC

Reinforcement: Steel Wire

Outer Sheath: Extruded Polyvinyl Chloride PVC&Polyethylene PE&LSZH

Colour of Sheath:  Black

Voltage Rating (Uo/U): 600/1000V       Test Voltage: 3.5kV for 5 minutes

Physical Properties

Maximal operating conductor Temperature: up to 70℃(PVC insulation); up to 90℃(XLPE insulation)

Operating Temperature Range: -5℃(PVC or LSZH sheath); -20℃(PE sheath)

Short Circuit Temperature(5 seconds maximum duration): 140℃-160℃(PVC insulation);250℃(XLPE insulation)
